We’ll be releasing our Big Country Preps Preseason Football Preview, the most comprehensive look at the upcoming Big Country football season anywhere, on Wednesday, Aug. 17. But you won’t have to wait until then to sate your gridiron appetite.
Leading up to the first day of fall football practice on Aug. 1, we’ll be spotlighting each 11-man team in the area and posing some of the key questions they’ll face in 2022 as part of our annual “Countdown to Two-a-Days” series.
We continue in Class 2A Division II with the Roscoe Plowboys. On Sunday we will take a look at the Haskell Indians, followed by the Santo Wildcats on Monday.
ROSCOE PLOWBOYS

- Roscoe’s 10 wins in 2021 doubled the Plowboys’ combined win total from 2018-20.
TWO NAMES TO KNOW
- Sophomore RB/WR/LB Ivan McCann (Rushed for 487 yards and 6 touchdowns, received for 512 yards and 6 touchdowns while collecting 77 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks and four forced fumbles in 2021)
- Junior QB/S Jax Watts (Passed for 2,782 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushed for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2021)
