WOLFFORTH — The Abilene High football team held a Wolfforth Frenship offense that came in averaging 44.7 points and 510.3 yards per game to just two touchdowns on Friday, but it still wasn’t enough to hand the Tigers their first loss of the season.
AHS scored just one touchdown itself, settling for short field goals on two of its three red zone trips and having a late kickoff return touchdown called back by a penalty in a tough 17-12 loss at Peoples Bank Stadium.
The Eagles finished with just 235 yards of total offense, being held to an uncharacteristically low 87 passing yards in closing their nondistrict schedule at 2-2.
