GAME STORY: Posey, Brandstetter help Lions clinch No. 2 seed with Glen Rose bashing

BROWNWOOD — Logan Posey is the first person to admit that he’s struggled at the plate for the Brownwood baseball team this season.

The junior catcher’s slump was so prolonged that the Lions had used their designated hitter for him in seven consecutive games while he worked on his swing.

Inserted back into the batting lineup on Tuesday, Posey had a home run, a double, two walks and three RBIs to help Brownwood clinch the No. 2 seed out of District 6-4A with a 10-0 win over Glen Rose at Morris Southall Field.
