BROCK — By all accounts, Brock senior defensive end Kadyn Mathews is a quiet, humble sort — a well-behaved, solid student who is considerate, helpful, hard-working and everything else one might associate with a good kid.
That is, until he puts the pads on.
At that point, Mathews is transformed into something very unpleasant — a 6-foot-3, 230-pound wrecking ball that has been disrupting offenses throughout Brock’s 13-0 start. This, despite consistently drawing double teams and having offenses directing plays away from him.
