HURST — For three quarters on Friday night at Blue Raider Gymnasium, the Abilene High girls basketball team looked poised to pull off a massive upset.
Hurst Bell entered the District 3-6A contest at 18-1 overall and 3-0 in district, but it was AHS that was in the cat bird’s seat, holding a 39-34 lead after three quarters.
The fourth quarter was a different story as Class 6A’s 23rd-ranked Lady Raiders steamed past the Lady Eagles for a 60-48 win.
