Twenty-four Big Country players earned a spot on the 2018 Texas Associated Press Sports Editors Class 3A all-state high school football team released Monday, including five first-team and five second-team selections.

Headlining the list were Merkel offensive lineman Luke Williams, receivers Timmy Smithson (Early) and Jacob Stanley (Dublin), Wall defensive lineman Joe Walker and Eastland Anthony Bonilla, who all earned first-team nods.
