BROWNWOOD — A big night from the 3-point line and some timely defense were enough to lift the Class 3A Jim Ned Lady Indians to a 54-44 win at Class 4A Brownwood on Tuesday.  

Libby Tutt scored 20 points and Jenna Moore added 12 (via four 3-pointers) to lift Jim Ned (7-3), which maintained a fluctuating lead from as much as 17 to as little as six points, by coming up with key defensive stops along the way. 

The Lady Indians connected on eight 3-pointers as a team, with Malone Graham hitting two, Claire Graham hitting one and Tutt adding another.

Brownwood, which slipped to 4-5, got 13 points from Matyha Thompson, six from Hadley Monroe and five from Ryleigh Dalleh.
