District 3-6A: Week 3 Report

Abilene High 20, Cooper 13 — The Eagles rallied from a 13-3 halftime deficit to win their second straight game and regain bragging rights over their crosstown rival.

Quarterback Kallin Sipe went 12 of 24 for 253 yards and two touchdowns, hitting Clay Cox five times for 131 yards and Reese Pettijohn three times for 80 yards and a TD.

The AHS defense was impressive once again, limiting the Cougars to 259 total yards, just 90 of those during a second-half shutout.
