The Abilene Christian football team saw its first season under Justin Gorman come to an end Thursday night with a 64-48 loss to Lucas Christian Academy in a TAPPS Division II Large School state quarterfinal matchup at Larry & Eyleen Crain Field.
Nate Presley threw for 343 yards and three scores, adding a fourth touchdown on the ground, but it wasn’t enough to lead the hosts to a come-from-behind win.
The Warriors got six touchdowns (3 rushing, 3 receiving) from Joshua Stoltzfus while Jacob Barineau returned two fumbles for defensive touchdowns that proved to be the difference in the game.
