WINDTHORST — Haskell scored on its first three drives Friday night against No. 7 Windthorst.
Brazos Brendle caught a couple of touchdown passes and Haegen Pinkerton added a TD run as the Indians led the Trojans after one quarter in their District 6-2A Division II title bout.
But the Indians’ high-powered offense went cold over the next two quarters, while the defense had no answers as Windthorst pulled away for a 72-34 victory at Trojan Field.
The win all but wraps up the district title for the Trojans, who can officially clinch next week by beating winless Electra. Haskell falls to 5-3 on the season and 3-1 in district.
