With 12 season-ending injuries contributing heavily to a 1-9 record in 2025, last season was a forgettable one for the Stanton Buffaloes. But if everything goes according to plan this fall, that adversity experienced during that campaign will yield dividends for a now experience-laden Buffaloes squad.
In addition to having a galvanizing effect on the team’s roster, which feels closer than ever after needing an “all hands on deck” approach just to finish the season a year ago, last year’s struggles also placed a chip firmly on the shoulders of those who return.
And for the senior-heavy nucleus that’s back after graduating just two starters on both sides of the ball, 2026 is an opportunity to chart a new, more positive course for the program.
