After suffering through an 0-10 campaign in his debut as Eastland’s head football coach last season, Matt Landers has kept is nose to the grindstone. His effort to rebuild a winning culture at EHS remains unchanged, though his offense will in 2026. 

A devoted option fan, Landers is shifting the Mavericks to a run-first spread attack this year in the belief that it is a better fit and can help the Mavericks pick up their production.
