Since novelist Thomas Wolfe coined the phrase in a 1940 novel, it’s been said many times and by many people that “you can’t go home again.”

Well … new Big Spring coach Stacey Martin is certainly going to give it a try.

Hired away from his position as Midland High’s defensive coordinator, Martin will return to the school for which he played and graduated in the early 1990s. And it was precisely the opportunity to return home and elevate his alma mater to a higher level that attracted him to the post.
