COMANCHE— After battling through a tough schedule with a young team last season, the Comanche Indians are poised for a step forward from their 5-5 record of 2025.
The numbers at CHS are a source of great optimism in the Indian camp and frankly, they should be.
Aside from seven starters returning on both sides of the football, the Indians will have 25 returning lettermen after losing only eight. They will so be getting help and added depth from players promoted from an 8-2 JV team, bolstering their expected roster size to around 35 players.
“I’m not going to sugar coat it,” Comanche coach Jake Escobar said. “I feel like we’re going to be pretty good. We’ve had a good off-season and I think our summer workouts have been really good. … That’s going to lead up to a good season, I hope.”
