Midland Legacy 42, Abilene High 28 — The Eagles took a 28-21 lead into halftime and had a chance to stretch that advantage to two scores in the second half, but an interception in the end zone ended that threat, and the Rebels closed with 21 unanswered points to rally for a two-score win.

JP Reyes passed for 469 yards and three touchdowns for Legacy, which got 135 yards rushing and three TDs from Hayes Hamm and 162 yards and a score receiving from Jermaine Laster.
