AMARILLO — Between his arm and his legs, Brayden Henry combined for 363 yards and five touchdowns Friday to lead Abilene High to a big 63-42 win over Amarillo High at Dick Bivins Stadium.

Henry’s big night fueled a 619-yard effort for the Eagles offense, which put up nine touchdowns to pull away from the Sandies in the second half after a back-and-forth first two quarters.

Leading just 28-27 late in the first half, Abilene High got a 24-yard touchdown run from Henry with 1:13 to play before halftime to take an eight-point lead into the break. And the Eagles rode that momentum into the second half,  scoring the only touchdown of the third quarter and the first of the fourth to finally create the separation they needed to put away a game Amarillo High squad.
