With a 10-3 record and a trip to the region semifinals, the Roscoe Plowboys experienced their best season in 15 years last fall. The challenge for coach Jake Freeman and Co. this year is to back that up with another strong campaign.
Buoyed by a talented nucleus of 14 returning lettermen, including six starters on both sides of the football, the Plowboys have reason to be optimistic in 2024.
But after graduating nine seniors from last year’s team, including 1,000-yard receiver Seth Wilcox and All-Big Country Preps Defensive Player of the Year Parker Gleaton, Roscoe will need some young players to fill some gaps if it hopes to replicate last year’s success.
