ABILENE — After a pair of thrilling 2-1 games to open their Region I-3A area-round series on Thursday, Jim Ned and Holliday shifted sites on Saturday to Abilene Christian University’s Crutcher Scott Field.

Both teams showed up with an offense ready to go as the Eagles took a 3-2 lead after the first inning before a two-out seventh-inning rally allowed Holliday to escape with a 6-4 win.

Holliday advances to face Brock in the regional quarterfinals next week.
