EARLY — While the Bangs Lady Dragons may have been victimized by a little bad luck on Thursday, Stamford pitcher Emma Follis only compounded their problems. 

Tossing a four-hit shutout with a whopping 15 strikeouts, Follis led Stamford to a 6-0 win in a best-of-three 2A area round series at Early High School. 

Follis was so dominating, she rendered numerous Stamford bloop singles a moot point.  One run would have been enough. 

The series will resume with Game 2 on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Abilene Christian University.
