BANGS — Bangs ISD has found a new leader for the Dragon football program and athletic department as a whole.

BISD announced Monday morning that it had tabbed Gregory-Portland assistant coach Colton Buzzard to the athletic director/head football coach role, replacing Jason Cole. Cole was reassigned in February after less than a year of leading the program.

While Bangs marks Buzzard’s first head coaching job, it’s not his initial foray into Big Country football. He played for his father, Rusty, in the mid-2000s at Coleman.
