TUSCOLA — After casting a wide net in search of a replacement for Matt Fanning, who resigned in February, Jim Ned found their man on Friday morning to be the 20th head football coach in program history.

As it turned out, Athletic Director Dustin Todd didn’t have to look very far.

Todd, who on Thursday celebrated the first anniversary of being named to his current role, handed the keys to the program to Jim Ned defensive coordinator Johnathon McClure during a specially called school board meeting.
