Cooper 28, Amarillo Palo Duro 21 — Daniel Bray rushed for 99 yards and a two touchdowns, Christian Rico had an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and the Cooper defense held the Dons to seven points over the final three quarters to hold on for a crucial district win.

Cooper raced out to a 21-14 lead after a quarter and extended that to 28-14 by halftime, before holding off Palo Duro in the second half to improve to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in district play.
