DISTRICT 4-3A DIV. II WEEK 8 REPORT: Idalou dominates Coahoma; Roosevelt, Littlefield both keep pace with wins

Idalou 54, Coahoma 10 — Tate Hendley threw for 144 yards and three scores and rushed for 63 yards and two more TDs to lead Idalou over Coahoma. 

Idalou, which struggled through a 1-4 non-district start is now 3-4 overall and 2-0 in District 4-3A DII.

The Wildcats, who rushed for a combined 342 yards, also got 120 yards rushing and two scores from Blake Dyas and 126 yards rushing and one more TD from Gentry Pounds.

Coahoma (3-4, 0-2) was led by Boyd Cox, who threw for 312 yards and one TD.

Lubbock Roosevelt 36, Abernathy 21 — The Eagles (6-1, 2-0) chalked up their fifth straight win behind 362 yards in total offense and a combined 265 yards rushing. 

Nate Casarez led Roosevelt with 97 yards passing, 61 yards rushing and a direct hand in three scores.

Abernathy, which was limited to 228 total yards, fell to 2-5 and 0-2 with its third straight loss.

Littlefield 60, Stanton 21 — Chip Green threw for 306 yards and three scores and rushed for 116 yards and three more TDs to lift the Wildcats (6-1, 2-0) to their sixth straight win. 

Littlefield quickly built a 48-9 halftime lead before putting it into cruise control. 

Stanton dropped to 1-6 and 0-2 — led by Jake Benedict, who threw for 168 yards and rushed for 102.
