Seymour 40, Anson 14 — Brayden Loyd hit 17 of 23 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns to lead Seymour to a win at Anson.
The Panthers also rushed for 62 yards and an additional score.
Anson (0-1) got most of its production on the ground, rushing for 222 yards as a team behind six different ball carriers.
Windthorst 37, Henrietta 34 — Brock Belcher threw for 344 yards and three scors and rushed for 36 yards and another TD to lift Windthorst to a tough win over improved Henrietta.
HHS was led by Garrett Blevins, who threw for 183 yards, rushed for 116 and accounted for four TDs.
Archer City 44, Quanah 8 — Archer City had little trouble with Quanah in its season opener.
The Wildcats have now won six of their last eight starts, dating back to Sept. 30 of last season.
New Home 27, Haskell 6 — Caleb Cook threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns to lead New Home over the visiting Indians.
Haskell was led by Grady Vasquez, who hit 13 of 20 throws for 89 yards. The Indian running game was severely limited, ending with 31 yards on 27 carries.
Mercy Culture Prep 74, Munday 0 — Landon Martinez threw for 282 yards and six scores with only nine completions to lift Prep over Munday.
John Raybuck led Prep on the ground with 208 yards and three TDs.
Munday rushed for 94 yards as a team between six ball carriers, led by AJ Dias with 83 yards on 15 carries. Haiden Bowman led the Moguls through the air, hitting 7 of 13 throws for 108 yards.
Sacred Heart 15, Petrolia 13 — While Petrolia may be disappointed in starting the season with a loss, there may be room for a moral victory here.
Entering the game as a 68-point underdog against their private school opponent, the Pirates nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in in school history.
