SAN ANGELO — The Hawley football team opened its playoff run by losing the coin toss to Christoval and seeing the Cougars elect to defer to the second half.
That’s the only thing that didn’t go the Bearcats way Thursday at San Angelo Stadium.
Chandlin Myers fielded the opening kickoff and raced 86 yards untouched through the middle of the field, and the Bearcats never looked back on their way to a 52-8 win in a Region I-2A Division I bi-district matchup.
