The Stephenville Yellow Jackets and Honeybees now know what the future holds for the program when they are no longer able to play at Tarleton State University’s Memorial Stadium.

Voters in Stephenville approved a $39,978,837 bond election for a new on-campus stadium by a slim margin of 147 votes on Tuesday — marking the first bond ever to be approved for Stephenville ISD athletics.

There were 3,878 votes cast in favor of the bond with 3,731 opposing it.
