Behind its most complete performance of the season, the Abilene High football team dominated Amarillo Caprock from start to finish Friday, routing the Longhorns 45-0 at Shotwell Stadium to improve to 2-1 in District 2-5A Division I play.
The Eagles limited Caprock to just 144 yards of total offense — all but 59 of which came in the second half after they had already built a commanding 31-0 lead.
The AHS offense, meanwhile, gained 307 yards on just 52 snaps, doing enough in the early going to put the game away by the halftime break.
