GAME REPORT: Abilene High can’t find stride in 36-14 loss to Amarillo Tascosa

AMARILLO — Abilene High couldn’t keep pace with Amarillo Tascosa on Friday, falling 36-14 to the Rebels at Dick Bivins Stadium. 

The Eagles, who were outgained 440-145 for the game, trailed 29-7 by halftime and were never able to recover in falling to 2-4 on the season and 1-1 in District 2-5A Division I play.

Tayden Barnes rushed for a game-high 215 yards and four touchdowns — all the in the first half — to keep Tascosa (5-1, 2-0) perfect in league action.
