Kermit outgained Forsan 254-186 in the defensive dogfight, overcoming a 4-1 deficit in the turnover margin to score the victory.
Nate Gensler ran for a game-high 139 yards and a touchdown to lead the Yellow Jackets, who also got 103 yards receiving from Jadan Bejarano. The Buffs (4-1), meanwhile, were paced by Kevin Kligora, who rushed for 93 yards on 21 carries. Brooks Wright had a pick-six for the game’s first score, and Brycen Cervantes ran for Forsan’s only offensive TD.
