DISTRICT 2-5A DIV. I WEEK 3 REPORT: QB Davila, Legacy too much for Abilene High as league goes 3-4

Midland Legacy 56, Abilene High 20 — After the Eagles scored on their first drive to take an early 7-0 lead, the Rebels responded with 56 consecutive points on their way to a lopsided win.

Legacy quarterback Marcos Davila was virtually perfect for the home team, completing 20 of 23 passes for 355 yards and five touchdowns, hitting Deonta Sonnier (9-172 receiving) with three of those scores and Brex Stevens (3-100) with one. Running back Zeke Luna also had a strong game, rushing for 98 yards and a TD on 14 carries.

Dylan Slack led Abilene High (1-2), completing 18 of 27 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 17 yards and an additional score. Austin Wood (7-41 receiving) and Tim Outlaw (1-36) each had receiving scores for coach Mike Fullen’s team.
