DISTRICT 2-3A DIV. II WEEK 3 REPORT: Wall edges trent, falling in overtime

Wall 3, Jim Ned 0 — Pierce Jameson booted a 32-yard field goal with 8:12 to play to break a scoreless tie and lift the Hawks to a tough win over area rival Jim Ned. 

Wall (2-1) earned the win with only 209 yards in total offense, by limiting Jim Ned to only 111. 

The Indians were held to only six first downs while falling to 0-3.

Stamford 32, Ballinger 14 — Christian Duran threw for 156 yards and two scores and Hayden Henager rushed for 110 yards and one score to keep Stamford (3-0) unbeaten.

The Bulldogs built a 24-0 lead by the break and expanded it to 32-0 in the third on a 31-yard scoop and score by Cle Whitfield.

Ballinger was led by Nathan Rivera McDuffie, who rushed for 111 yards and one score and Cade Strube threw for 139 yards to lead Ballinger (1-2).

Coleman 48, Brady 18 — Leading 20-12 at the break, Coleman blew open this non-district game with a 28-6 third quarter. 

Jadin Jackson threw for 161 yards and one TD and Ryland Gentry rushed for 146 yards and three scores to lead Coleman (3-0), which finished with 453 yards in total offense. 

Brady (0-3) was led by Hayden Baronet with 222 yards passing and one score He also rushed for 14 yards and two more TDs. 

Comanche 49, Early 40 — Layden Welch threw for 154 yards and two scores and rushed for 54 yards and another TD to keep Comanche (3-0) unbeaten. 

Early (1-2) was led by Jaxyn Price, who threw for 347 yards and two scores. 

Bangs 53, Grape Creek 6 — The Dragons (1-2) picked up their first wind of the year behind 188 yards rushing and three TDs from Guy Powell. 

Kenny Coal threw for 141 yards, hitting three different receivers with scoring passes. 

Grape Creek fell to 0-3 with the loss. 

San Angelo TLCA 36, Winters 34 — Winters fell in a shootout to a surprisingly good TLCA team. 

Chris Martinez led Winters with 122 yards passing and one TD. Alejandro Garcia rushed for 103 yards and scored twice. 

TLCA improved to 2-1 with the win, Winters dropped to 1-2.
