LOCAL SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Abilene High routs Legacy for third straight win; Wylie, Cooper fall

MIDLAND — The Abilene High softball team won its third consecutive game Friday, using a four-run third to erase an early deficit before exploding for eight fifth-inning runs to pull away for a 14-3 victory over Midland Legacy.

With the victory, the Lady Eagles improved to 13-10 overall and 4-4 in District 2-6A play, keeping pace with Odessa High for third place in the league standings while pulling a game ahead of Permian, which lost to first-place Frenship on Friday.
