FEATURE: Brock adapting quickly to Mathis’ new offensive and defensive schemes

BROCK — Prior to the season it was, in the minds of many, logical to assume there would be a transitional period in Brock football, as the reins of the program were passed from former coach Chad Worrell to new coach Billy Mathis. 

New offensive and defensive playbooks, new terminology and new routines would all have be be learned before anything could be perfected. So, one could reasonably expect Brock to seem a bit sluggish out of the starting gate in 2021 until all the wrinkles were ironed out.  

Even Mathis expected it.
