LUBBOCK — The Wylie baseball team opened District 4-5A play with a shutout win Tuesday, riding a strong start from Dash Albus and a big offensive night for Landon Bailey to a 6-0 victory over the Lubbock Monterey Plainsmen.
Albus scattered seven hits and two walks over six shutout innings to earn the win, while Bailey went 3 for 4 with a run and two RBIs to head a list of four players to post multi-hit games for the Bulldogs.
