FORT STOCKTON — The Abilene High boys basketball team passed its first postseason test with flying colors Monday, blasting El Paso Eastwood 55-22 in its playoff opener to earn an area-round matchup with Trophy Club Nelson.
The Eagles, who scored the game’s first 11 points, led 15-4 by the end of the first quarter and increased their advantage to 29-7 by halftime to end the competitive phase of the game before the start of the second half.
