If you were to look at Abilene High’s rushing production this season, you’d find solid numbers across the board.
Breaking in a new offensive scheme, the Eagles (4-4) have averaged 170.5 yards per game and 5.0 yards per play on the ground — metrics most programs would find perfectly acceptable.
But taking such a big-picture view actually obscures the bigger picture in this case, which is that the AHS running game has been far better than acceptable during the Eagles’ current three-game winning streak. It’s been downright scary.
