DUBLIN — The Wall Hawks were two yards and a hooked 27-yard field goal away from seeing their season end on Thursday.
But courtesy of a game-saving tackle and a well-executed game-winning pass, the Hawks prevailed with 20-14 win over Boyd in a Class 3A DI bi-district game at Bob and Norma Cervetto Field.
Gabe Haskins hit Chase Rios in the corner of the end zone with a 20-yard touchdown pass in overtime to lift the Hawks (8-3), who will advance to face Bushland in the area round.
