Sweetwater 48, Monahans 32 — The Mustangs wrapped up a perfect run through district play Friday, answering an early score from Monahans and leading the rest of the way in a 16-point win over Loboes.

Sweetwater, which wrapped up its regular season at 7-1 overall and 4-0 in league play, led 28-20 at halftime and outscored Monahans (4-6, 2-2) by a 20-6 margin over the game’s final 17 minutes to pull away.

Quarterback Leo Holsey had three touchdown runs to lead the Mustangs, who also got three touchdown receptions from receiver Darian Carr.
