GAME STORY: Top-ranked Brock holds off Iowa Park for thrilling 42-35 victory

IOWA PARK — After outscoring its first two opponents by a combined score of 121-14, the top-ranked Brock football team faced its first test of the season Friday at Iowa Park’s Hawk Stadium.

And though a late fumble in the red zone made things a little tenser than coach Chad Worrell would have probably preferred, the Eagles did what they needed to come away with a 42-35 victory over previously unbeaten IPHS.

Brock never trailed in the game, which saw five touchdowns scored in an 11-play span at one point in the first quarter. But the Eagles were tied on two occasions in the first half and had to make a late stop up by a single score to secure the hard-fought win.
