SIGNING DAY: Six Abilene High Eagles headed to Hardin-Simmons

Six Abilene High football players will be trading their black and gold for purple and gold after announcing their intentions to continue playing collegiately at Hardin-Simmons during a signing day ceremony Friday at the Chuck Moser Field House. 

Offensive linemen Khalil Spivey and Jaxon Smith, defensive end Dylan Wright, safeties Colton Wilson and Jorge Hernandez, and running back Davonta Mayse all chose to extend their time as teammates a few more years, accepting offers to play for coach Jesse Burleson and the Division III powerhouse Cowboys.
