TUSCOLA — Brandon Fielding accounted for 172 yards of offense and Anthony Bonilla had a pair of touchdowns as Eastland clinched the second seed for District 3-3A Division I with a 29-14 win over Jim Ned at Indian Stadium on Friday night.
Fielding, a bruising 225-pound running back, ran for 97 yards and added a 54-yard touchdown catch in which he tip-toed his way down the sideline as the Mavericks earned a bi-district matchup with Whitesboro. That game will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday in Graham.
“I feel pretty good but I’m a little beat up,” Fielding said. “It’s not anything that (the trainer) can’t fix.”
