
Stamford 31, Winters 28 — The Bulldogs rallied from a 20-14 halftime deficit Friday to edge Winters and pick up a big win for their District 3-2A DI playoff hopes.
Trace Price threw two touchdown passes — hitting Josh Mueller and Shavaris Cooper — while D’Marcus Barber added a rushing score and a kickoff return touchdown to fuel Stamford, which improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in league play with the victory. Winters, which was led by Alex Salas (4-10-1—100, 1 TD passing; 18-56, 1 TD rushing) and Matt Jacob (10-85, 1 TD) fell to 4-4 and 0-2 with the loss.
Stamford will try to build on the win next week when they host rival Hawley, while Winters will try to snap a two-game losing streak at Forsan.
