LAST WEEK: 35-8, .813
OVERALL: 286-59, .829
If one accepts the notion that the third-ranked Wall Hawks (6-0, 1-0) are the favorite to win District 3-3A Division I, then the Jim Ned Indians (6-0, 1-0) are about to receive their mid-term report card in our Big Country Preps Game of the Week.
I think that’s a fair way of looking at it, considering that Wall has already beaten teams such as Cisco, Midland Christian and Clyde.
However, there are reasons to believe that the Indians may be the best team Wall has faced to this point, not the least of which is a defense that has pitched four shutouts in six games and is allowing an average of just 7.0 points per night.
