Cooper 42, Amarillo Palo Duro 6 — Noah Garcia rushed for 207 yards and a touchdown, while Dalziel Sifuentes added 114 rushing yards in his varsity debut to fuel the No. 10 Cougars to a blowout win over the Dons on Friday.

Cooper outgained Palo Duro 554-110, building a 28-6 lead by halftime and cruising from there to their seventh consecutive victory. In addition to the production they received from Garcia and Sifuentes, the Coogs got 188 yards and three TDs passing from Aidan Thompson and 131 total yards and two scores from Daelin Campos.

CHS (7-0, 3-0) will try to keep its roll going this week when it travels north to take on Amarillo Caprock on Friday. Palo Duro (3-4, 1-1), meanwhile, will host Amarillo High on Thursday.
