Anson 27, Ballinger 20 — The Tigers built a 20-0 first-quarter lead then held on for a tough win over Ballinger. 

Drew Hagler threw for 289 yards and three scores and rushed for 145 yards and another TD to lead Anson (3-2, 2-0) which has won three straight games after an 0-2 start. 

Garrett Zertuche led Ballinger with 170 yards on 19 carries with two scores.
