DUBLIN — A year ago, the Dublin Lions and quarterback Cy Wing had a solid go-to man in Jacob Stanley to lean on when crucial yards were needed.
He nearly always delivered, ending the 2018 campaign as an all-stater after hauling in 68 catches for 1,288 yards and 17 touchdowns. He then earned a diploma — leaving a crater on the Dublin stat sheet.
This left Wing with the responsibility of delivering compensation. And thus far, the senior with a reputation for making clutch plays has done exactly that.
To date, Wing has hit 54 of 112 throws for 907 yards and nine touchdowns — supplementing those numbers with a team-high 339 rushing yards and five more scores.
