FEATURE: Indians’ balanced offense may be the equal of their vaunted defense

TUSCOLA — Four games into one of the best starts in Jim Ned history, much of the talk surrounding the Indians’ success has centered around a defense allowing just 4.8 points per game with three shutouts.

A powerful, balanced offense however, has largely escaped the media’s attention, despite averaging 490 yards and 46.5 points per game.

A running game averaging 266 yards per night, along with efficient quarterback play from senior Dylan Martin is at the heart of it, and could very well help put the Indians at the top of the District 3-3A Division I race.
