MIDLAND — Eric Abbe rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns, and the Abilene High defense bottled up a strong Midland High running game Friday to pick up a 28-7 road win and give Mike Fullen his first victory as a head coach.

AHS scored one touchdown in each quarter and shut out the Bulldogs until the 2:52 mark of the final period to head into their District 3-6A opener next week at North Richland Hills Richland on a high note.
