Eastland 49, West 7 — Behren Morton threw for 281 yards and four scores and Brandon Fielding rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries as Eastland improved to 2-0.

The Mavericks raced out to a 35-0 lead by the second quarter before coasting the rest of the way. 

By night’s end Eastland (2-0) had accumulated 432 yards in total offense. West (1-1) was limited to 150.
