Noah Garcia had a monster day out of the backfield and the Cooper defense dominated Grapevine from start to finish in a 42-14 win over the Mustangs on Friday at Shotwell Stadium.
The Coogs held Grapevine under 300 total yards and forced four turnovers, ensuring that Garcia’s big night would come in a winning effort.
The junior running back ran for 259 yards and two scores and added three catches for 53 yards and another TD to help Cooper build a 35-7 third-quarter lead on its way to a 2-0 start.
